Positive outlook
Pros
- Culture enabling velocity is starting to form - Remote work environment (could change) - Lots of chances to take ownership in an ambiguous environment - CEO is customer oriented and understands what it takes to winCons
- Canada is only so big of a market. Not a company suited for venture scale given current prospects. Know what you're signing up for given this - Company uses a heavyweight decision making process (xPager) for almost every decision. They try so hard to be like Amazon that the nuance of when to use this process is lost on them. As a result, the company moves REALLY slowly. - Senior hires from established corporations routinely fail as they mostly all lack a DIY attitude - hence, high turnover. These people need fairly large teams to implement their vision. - There is no work-life balance. What did you expect, a normal 9-5? Any transition back to an office life will be a nightmare.
