Pros
I’ve worked at Prevail for three years now and I’m really amazed at how far we’ve come, and I’m excited about everything we currently have underway. One thing that’s always stood out to me about working at Prevail is how passionate and knowledgeable everyone is - we have a lot of really exceptional employees, including our CEO who has a very strong legal and business background - which shows, and how it’s such a friendly, flexible, and inviting workplace. The company has a remote-first work environment where the employees are encouraged to have open communication across team channels so that we can all pitch in and collaborate, which I believe helps us build a stronger product and instills a feeling of trust, respect, and comradery. There’s no outdated “what I say goes” type of leadership here, they actually take the time to consider any ideas and issues that employees might have, and also communicate with us often on the various company chat channels, offering recognition and praise for our efforts. It’s obvious that they care about their employees, and we have stellar educational, PTO, and referral benefits that we’re highly encouraged to use, and they’ve personally been generous to me with both salary increases and a promotion within the time I’ve worked here. They definitely recognize employees who try to better and improve upon their skills, and they don't skimp on things like funding fun company meetups (which are optional) so that we can meet each other in person. All in all, I’ve enjoyed the time I’ve spent thus far working at Prevail, and I really look forward to seeing how far we can continue to grow.Cons
The only con I can really think of is the simple fact that as a startup, when you grow from so few employees to so many within such a short time period, there will naturally be a few bumps to navigate and smooth out along the way. Things can feel a little rushed at times, but that’s because our company has been growing at such a rapid pace - which is a good thing, and our leadership definitely pulls their own weight in trying to help make our company successful.
