Worth a serious look
Pros
This company is a rocketship, one of the top 5 growth startups in silicon valley. It's a compelling product offering that very significantly reduces cost while providing great performance as a benefit, Strong engineering talent, CEO/founder Alex is such a good human and is able to make adjustments where it matters but not too frequently to drive concern, the right bets are almost always placed and execution is in action. It's a startup that has just enough structure to not feel bureaucratic while balancing the fact that it's a 100% remote company from the start. If there's something you think isn't just right your voice will be heard and if you stick around long enough you'll see change for the better. Redpanda is also probably the most diverse place I've ever worked in terms of ethnic and gender backgrounds, by happenstance, not by DEI initiatives, ao that's amazing. In this economic climate you're going to see Redpanda growing (revenue and hiring) which should be one of the top reasons to consider it.Cons
It's a remote-only company so at times it can feel like the connective tissue is still being built (but in person meetups are happening more often), there are still policies and procedures that are being built out so if you operate best with very defined structure you'll want to dig into that. HR is doing more foundational work so I've heard some people say they're still waiting on getting some Redpanda swag for example. There are a meaningful cohort of employees that have come from one particular product company I won't name which has pro's and con's.Redpanda is a remote-first, diverse and inclusive workplace with team members from around the globe.
