Pros
I have recently joined Skillsoft and man, am I impressed! What an amazing, fun and supportive community. Skillsoft offers remote working to most of its functions and while I was a little apprehensive at the beginning about the culture (thanks to nasty comments in Glassdoor), but the situation here is completely opposite to what most of the comments here say. I am not discounting the bad experience of previous employers but maybe the people at Skillsoft have really heard all the feedback and have really worked to deliver a great employee experience. The internal communication is just fantastic and I am amazed at the number of platforms and avenues that the HR and enablement team has created to reach out to its people and just do one thing properly; communicate.Cons
Nothing that I can notice so far as an employee but I'm just couple of months old. No place is perfect and I'm sure there'll improvements that I will notice. Untill them, I'll give 5 out of 5 to Skillsoft as an employer. Our Values

The open door policy and ability for employees to voice suggestions and concerns strengthen the organization’s commitment to collaboration. We are proud to enjoy a higher tenure rate than most software organizations.
While individuals on the team must be responsive to immediate customer needs, they must also plan and design for the future with the ever expanding available technology. This type of environment offers an engineer the best mix of challenging problem solving today and the ability to grow their expertise in new areas and technologies.
We know our best engineers don’t necessarily define themselves with programming buzz words, but instead pride themselves on being exceptional problem solvers that will find the right tool for the job, and the right solution for the customer. They also want to make a difference. This is why we give our engineering teams the flexibility to be involved in designing, prototyping, architect design, and defining the tools used to make the whole Skillsoft team a success. This ensures that we have an engineering team that can deliver solutions that matter for the company and our customers.
While the job can be challenging, we foster success with a positive work environment and flexibility, giving our engineers room to advance, learn and grow.
At Skillsoft, we know that the quality and cost of the benefits that we make available to employees is very important. Each year our benefit plans are analyzed and benchmarked to many other plans on a national, regional, state-wide, industry and employee size basis. Skillsoft continuously strives to offer a competitive, comprehensive health and welfare employee benefits package that provides protection for employees and their families, helps them plan and save for the future, and provides time off to spend with family.
