Perfect for Builders

Positive outlook

Pros

- Mission-driven company and team: The mission to build AI to help tell the most accurate, complete patient story is an incredibly meaningful one, but more importantly, the co-founders live and breathe it, which is infectious among the teams. The co-founders are clinical and technical, and how hands on they are commands tremendous respect. - Positive growth environment: I've worked at other startups that preached growth mindset, but then wouldn't give you the resources to actually build for growth. This is a highly positive environment that brings out the best in builders. You'll have to solve a lot of puzzles, but that's part of the fun. Everyone is trusted and empowered, which is refreshing if you came from a large company like I did. - Remote collaboration: I don't miss working in an office at all. We get SO much done at SmarterDx with all of the tools available to us, and we still get to hang out a few times a year in person. Everyone I've met on the team is smart, kind, and helpful, and a reflection of the refined hiring process. Oh and we have the most fun slack channels I've ever seen (#petsofsmarterdx is a gem). - Feel like you're making a difference: If you aren't client-facing, client wins and feedback are routinely shared, and it's motivating to hear how the work we're doing is making a profound difference for providers. - Work/life balance: Unlimited PTO can get a bad rap, but people actually take time off and respect boundaries here, which in turn, makes other people feel like they can take time, too.

Cons

- Some growing pains: As with any startup, and especially with one on the crazy growth trajectory SmarterDx is on, there are some growing pains. We're trying to scale quickly to support our growth, and oftentimes we're building a process for the very first time.
