After your first 60 days working full time with us, you'll be eligible for health benefits. Our health plan provides affordable premiums and a company-sponsored health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) program to help reimburse you if you have to pay into your deductible. Preventive services are covered in full, without any out-of-pocket costs.

Our dental and vision plans put the ability to care for your health in your own hands, with especially strong support for the preventive care that will prevent major issues – and costs – down the line. Our dental plan covers 100% of the cost of preventive services and part of the cost of other basic and major services, including orthodontia. Our vision plan covers comprehensive eye exams, provides allowances for lenses/frames or contacts, and also provides access to laser eye surgery discounts.

Our health, dental, and vision plans aren't the only benefits Smith offers you. Smith provides Basic Life/AD&D insurance and disability coverage to all full-time employees at no cost. You may also benefit from our Employee Assistance Program, which offers free tools and resources to help you and your family make it over life's hurdles. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, where you can set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for health-related, out-of-pocket costs not covered by your insurance.

15 PTO days annually will offer a flexible way to use your time off. Whether it's for vacation or a sick day, you can manage your time as you need, and you’ll gain an additional ½ day of PTO for each year you work with us. Company holidays each year add to your time to recharge.

For U.S. employees, we offer a progressive maternity and paternity leave policy, in addition to time off for caretakers and for adoptive parents welcoming their new additions.

Eligible employees may contribute to our 401(k) retirement plan. Smith will contribute 3% of your total eligible compensation to your 401(k) account, regardless of whether you choose to contribute. In addition to the 3% contribution, Smith pays all 401(k) administrative fees.

Start Out Right: Smith University and Mentorship

Smith University, our interdepartmental e-learning platform, will give you access to a full curriculum of online training courses at your fingertips, there to explore at your own pace. Smith’s business model is complex, which is why our training program is engineered to help new traders learn how Smith works at every level.
