Our mission is to put people in the right fit positions so they can maximize their potential and live more fulfilling lives.
Pros
Great, communicative management Willing to work togetherCons
Timelines are not always metAt Snagajob, we celebrate our differences in an inclusive workplace designed to support the things that make us individuals. Snaggers from different backgrounds and identities bring unique and important perspectives to what we do. All voices and opinions are truly welcome, and they help make us a better company that benefits our employees, products, and our communities.
The cornerstone of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is an environment where everyone has the opportunity to be successful. This doesn’t just mean hiring candidates with diverse backgrounds, it means committing to equitable practices and inclusive policies for all.
Commitment to #Candor
Our core value of candor doesn’t just live on our handbook. From our open door policy, to weekly KPI meetings so everyone understands what happens in the business, we believe that equal knowledge is the first step. This carries on into our interview process, where a cross-functional team interview and meetings with executive leaders are designed to give transparency to everyone in the process. Publishing our DEI reports annually, internally and externally, helps hold us accountable to our goals and commitments.
Equitable Career Development and Compensation
Over the last five years, we’ve taken material steps to remove bias in our internal promotion and evaluation processes. These have yielded measurable results, where underrepresented populations are promoted at at least the same rate as others. We’ve also implemented a Leadership Development Program, where we can make sure our future leaders from a variety of backgrounds are given a chance to stretch and develop. Lastly, we’ve analyzed our compensation data, and have committed to equitable compensation for everyone through data driven compensation bands, and not asking for salary histories.
Empowering Productivity
We know people have different working styles, and we work hard to enable our teams to do the best work they can, when it works for them. We’ve implemented Core Working Hours, from 10-3 EST, which lets caregivers have more flexibility around other commitments. We’ve also fully embraced a hybrid work model- we want people to work where they can do it best, period. We have an open PTO policy for that same reason- Snaggers work hard, and we trust them to take the time they need to effectively recharge.
Employee Resource Groups
Our three ERGs- Women@Snagajob, Out@Snagajob, and Black@Snagajob- are more than just spaces where people can come together. Because DE&I are all important to make our business stronger, all of our ERGs have two Executive sponsors. They all have annual objectives to benefit participants, and ERG leaders are compensated for their involvement.
Giving Back
Our commitment to DE&I goes beyond our walls. We’ve pledged $1M in job postings for Black owned SMBs, and have partnered with media organizations in our communities to offer scholarships for Black students aspiring to a career in tech. Our nonprofit partners support youth mentoring, financial literacy, LGBTQ rights, and empowering those with disabilities. These make our communities better, and all help hourly workers.
