Helping communities thrive!
Start Small Think Big supports Black, Brown, people of color, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, veterans, people with disabilities, and women-owned small businesses, so that they can create thriving businesses. We are the only nonprofit that provides a unique mix of finance, marketing, and legal assistance to small businesses nationwide. We partner with small businesses and their communities, connecting small business owners to our network of professionals who provide their expertise for free. We're all for small because small businesses make a big difference.
We serve over 3,400 entrepreneurs annually. Most of our entrepreneurs are living in 1-person households making less than $40,000 a year. 95% of our businesses are person of color and/or women-owned and 49% are located in underserved communities. We connect small business owners with volunteer lawyers, financial and marketing professionals from elite firms. The caliber of support these professionals provide would be unthinkably expensive normally. But we make the connection for free!
We’re all for small. Because small businesses make a big difference.
