Through engagement with community special interest groups, training to understand and overcome bias, and a summer internship program offering students from diverse backgrounds access to an industry in which they’ve historically been underrepresented, Mars is striving to make inclusion an innate part of the way we work.

Kim Pawlak, VP of People & Culture, is the longest standing Martian with 33 years under her belt here! Her career growth has taken unique turns leading accounts, launching the agency’s own childcare program, piloting project management, and now driving the agency’s educational arm. Not your typical career trajectory, Mars offered Kim the opportunity to pursue areas of interest and passion, not to mention build lifelong friends.

Our vibe is growth-focused. From Life on Mars social events to Start Small community support efforts, to WeLead women’s leadership discussions and DE&I initiatives, everything we do outside of the work is geared toward providing growth opportunities for our Martians and their communities.

At The Mars Agency, we have a mission to make a positive impact across a “Triple Bottom Line,” which focuses on growth for our clients, growth for our people, and growth for our community. To support the many communities we are a part of, we created Start Small, our community volunteer initiative. Our goal is 100% employee participation in at least one of the program’s three pillars:

• Quarterly events hosted by our local offices;
• Martian Missions, in which employees apply for up to 160 hours of time to support a cause of their choice;
• Individual Personal Volunteer Days.
