As an academic health care system, we will transform the health of the communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.
Pros
Small hospital friendly team players.Cons
I don’t know if there are any cons honestlyUofL Health is a fully integrated regional academic health system with eight hospitals, four medical centers, Brown Cancer Center, Eye Institute, nearly 200 physician practice locations, and more than 1,000 providers in Louisville and the surrounding counties, including southern Indiana. Additional access to UofL Health is provided through a partnership with Carroll County Memorial Hospital.
With more than 13,000 team members – physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists and other highly-skilled health care professionals, UofL Health is focused on one mission: to transform the health of communities we serve through compassionate, innovative, patient-centered care.
With our vast network of community and academic physicians, we are able to bring expertise, care and compassion to our patients throughout Kentucky. As a leading academic health system, we’ve attracted specialists from every discipline—seasoned caregivers who have experience with a broad range of complex medical and surgical issues. This means we treat the simplest medical issues with the same level of care and expertise as we do the more complex issues. Not only do we bring our knowledge to our patients, but we collaborate with professionals throughout the country and in some cases the world, ensuring that you have the right treatment options for whatever health issue you may be facing.
Our physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses and team members form the “Power of U” and are dedicated to making the impossible, possible, every single day.
Whether you are in a primary care office on the outskirts of Kentuckiana or in our academic medical center in the heart of downtown Louisville, UofL Health team members are dedicated to providing patient-centered care delivered with compassion and excellence.
At UofL Health, we offer a competitive benefits package, including FREE tuition at the University of Louisville, a perk that no other health care system in the state currently offers. We also offer robust health care plans for families as low as $100 per month.
