Pros

I love working at Zapier, and I plan on staying here for as long as I can. The company has a strong leadership team that's created a mission I believe in. People thoroughly live by the company values. I appreciate that as the company has grown, they're continuously looking for feedback. Leaders take action on feedback, and we're continuing to build a strong company that I have full confidence in. As a woman of colour, I also appreciate the company's efforts to building DIBE as DNA. The company continues to roll out improvements to benefits, guidelines, and tools. I believe in our company culture, people, and product!

Cons

It sounds like we may have decreased the frequency of All-Company retreats from twice a year, to once a year. While this is understandable with the size we've grown, it does feel disappointing.

Creating our Company Culture

Being remote and spread across 38 countries means we have to be intentional about our company culture. To stay connected, we host weekly company and team meetings, encourage Zapiens to build community through local groups or via a monthly meetup budget, and more! 🙌

We have 1,120 public Slack channels and over 6,500 custom emojis. On average, we send about 755 messages per person each month. Because this is our primary method of communication, our use of emojis, GIFs, and Slack channels helps us connect in and outside of work. 🎧

We also value giving back to our global communities. We partner with and donate to organizations that align with our mission, people, and product, host volunteer events, and encourage Zapiens to volunteer in their local communities.  💻

Our dedication to candidates

Regardless of the result, candidates should feel cared for throughout our interview process. We strive to respond quickly to all inquiries and default to transparency by sharing things like compensation as early as our job descriptions. Plus, our General Interest Forms allow us to stay in touch with & support folks interested in Zapier through regular Talent Community Events. But we're not perfect, so we grow through feedback, using our candidate surveys and Glassdoor reviews to improve. 🙂
