What We Do

The Opportunity Be part of a transformative team that is shaping the way First American builds and delivers world-class technology products that fuel the real estate industry. We're looking for an Agile Director interested in transforming our industry by solving cutting-edge problems with modern technologies, want the benefit of working for an established real estate insurance leader and seek a culture awarded as a Fortune 100 Best Companies. As the Director or Agile Transformation you will be responsible for leading, transforming and scaling Agile frameworks within our application development organization. You will guide multiple teams on Agile principles and practices, enable teams to realize objectives and deliver on KPIs, eliminate barriers, demonstrate courage to challenge and advise teams, and effectively integrate feedback and learnings necessary to reinforce Agile growth. You will work closely with product owners, functional managers, delivery teams, and other internal IT resources to ensure technology delivery is closely aligned with business needs.

Outcomes and Activities:

  • Build and deploy an Agile coaching function that delivers impact by driving consistency and commonality and helping the organization reap the benefits of Agile
  • Set the strategy and be the champion of Agile development processes across multiple value streams, mentors, and coaches other Agile Program Managers
  • Build and manage a strong team of Agile practitioners who take accountability to streamline product delivery process
  • Leverages data and metrics to derive insights and continuously identify improvement opportunities. Drives these improvement opportunities to fruition
  • Driving transformation across organization in new agile way of working
  • Maintains cadence and forum for delivery system stewardship through consistent interaction model with the product families and dependent stakeholders
  • Successfully setting up pilots for a new agile way of working and then using learnings to constantly improve how we are delivering in this agile model as we expand
  • Leads the charge on building community, foster inter-team collaboration and the culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement across multiple value streams.
  • Drive Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement
  • Become a trusted partner for cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment across the organization
  • Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, change management, and mediation to help the team become a high-performance team
  • Closely monitor improvement in maturity, quality, predictability, and delivery as adoption of Agile practices increases to ensure coaching meets the required outcomes and agility for the business
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts

Clearly defines customer benefits to accelerate decision making, understands how changes to the customer experience impacts backend processes and technologies and develops clear roadmaps that create pathways to action.
  • Business-Focused: Integrates business analytics and operational excellence in every aspect of design and development. Analyzes data thru the lens of the customer and needs of the business and understands inputs, outputs, and root causes. Utilizes a hypothesis-based experimentation mindset, iterates and tests hypotheses regularly and champions high impact outcomes.
  • Technology-Driven: Leverages the best modern technologies to imagine, build and deliver revolutionary results. Collaborates effectively with technical and design teams to deliver amazing products to market efficiently with quality. Deeply understands end-to-end platforms and how changes impact the enterprise, applications, and the overall technical ecosystem.
  • Transformational Leader: Communicates, partners and influences across teams to deliver winning product experiences and outcomes. Serves as the visionary to set vision and direction across teams. Creates deep partnerships and trust through transparency and inspires partners to collaborate and win together. Embraces change and guides others in managing the impact of change.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in project/program management roles (using Agile and traditional methods)
  • 5+ years of experience delivering large scale Agile initiatives utilizing a variety of methods including Scrum and SAFE, using collocated and distributed delivery model
  • Proven track record of deploying an Agile function across diverse cross functional teams
  • Experience establishing, leading, and successfully completing large transformation programs that lead to measurable result
  • Sound understanding of Agile frameworks and fluent in modern agile tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range: $116,820 - $272,580 Annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
