As a .NET Developer at Octo, you will support a data exchange platform within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This Developer will support the development team in designing, delivering, and operating a highly automated CI/CD pipeline for both the platform build and the delivery of a DataOps capability for end users. This individual will be responsible for .NET development The successful candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the .NET development life cycle and have proven experience as a lead in the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of applications and tools.

Must have recent experience within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Business Intelligence Services Line (BISL).

Requirements...

  • Analyze customer requirements to meet concept and design objectives.
  • Develop new products and enhance existing products utilizing .NET Core 3 and Microsoft technology stack i
  • Design, configuration, and maintenance / enhancements to the data exchange platform to make it more accessible, add automation features, and support frequent data updates.
  • Utilize data and database cloud migration tools and techniques.
  • Participate in peer design reviews, code review, and testing to ensure quality releases
  • Contribute to all phases of the fast-paced development lifecycle.
  • Also requires experience Azure Functions and Azure App Services.
  • Requires experience with methodology and Scrum approach.
  • Ability to write good quality code, and experience and talent as a software developer.
  • Experience in unit-testing and continuous integration.
  • Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, technical documentation and problem-solving abilities.

Years of Experience: Requires at least 5 years of related .NET development experience.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or other technical discipline, OR a minimum of 8 years equivalent work experience.

Location: Remote within the United States.

Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance.
