POSITION OVERVIEW
This role oversees the complete employee life cycle, manage benefits administration & enrollment, training, leave management, record retention, and serves as the plan administrator for all HR software management tools. You will focus on tasks with the usage of core platforms supporting HR initiatives, support recruitment efforts and helping to create content for the HR Intranet.
This position will sit at the 174 Power Global location in Irvine, CA reporting to the VP of Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide HR support and guidance to the HR team dealing specifically with onboarding programs, payroll and benefits administration, performance/talent management.
- Influencing and driving the success of HR by creating a collaborative culture and effectively managing change.
- Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, workers compensation, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Make sure that all HR activities comply with legal requirements.
- Manage employees on benefits programs.
- Consult on FMLA leave administration process.
- File workers comp claims and maintain follow up throughout the year.
- Assist Talent Acquisition in recruiting and interviewing the hiring of qualified candidates.
- Assist in organization’s internship program; participate in university and industry recruitment events.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Leverage strong business acumen to analyze HR metrics and people trends, utilizing data to support ideas and solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to understand, interpret, apply, and explain personnel laws, rules, regulations, standards, and procedures; assist to analyze and make improvement in policies and procedures relating to personnel activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management or related area, or a combination of education and experiences, from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired, is necessary.
- 5 years of directly related management experience is required.
- 3 years human resources experience as a generalist.
- Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable with HR computerized information systems.
- Must have excellent human relation skills.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certificate preferred.
$125,000 - $200,000 a year
