POSITION OVERVIEW


The PMO Manager drives successful delivery of 174 Power Global's projects under the project execution phases. This person works in close partnership across all 174 Power Global's Project Management teams to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget. This also requires close collaboration across 174 Power Global's broader organization, including the Development, Interconnection, Permitting, Engineering, Legal, Asset Management, and Finance departments.

 

Key responsibilities include developing and overseeing Project Management Operation (PMO) processes, including project management coordination, contract compliance, construction administration, cashflow and spend forecasting, budget and change management, and risk management. This requires directly managing the activities of the Project Coordinators and the outputs of the Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager, Associate Project Manager, Quality Manager, prime contractors/EPC's, and other project based team members.


EARLY ON, RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:


  • Supporting project coordination/administration of renewable energy projects under engineering/construction with the assigned Construction Project Management Teams, particularly with budget management and data management.
  • Developing and refining the Project Management Information System (PMIS) architecture with the Director of Project Management
  • Managing 3rd party resources in implementing key PMIS systems
  • Developing and refining PMO organization and processes, including its key practices
  • Working with the Safety Manager establishing the 174 Power Global Safety Management program for its projects and its operations.


FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Refining, managing, and progressively iterating on PMO and PMIS operations
  • Managing Project Coordinator/Project Administrator workflows and resourcing
  • Managing PMIS system efficiency and implementing changes/improvements where needed
  • Aggregating key metrics and trends within and across the projects, identifying technical and commercial risks to mitigate. Drive mitigation actions in tandem with rest of the Project Management Team.


REQUIREMENTS


  • 6-10 years Construction Project Management experience in Subcontractor, GC, or Owner roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent mix of work and education will be considered
  • Experience/knowledge of the following project management finance mechanics; Cashflow Forecasting, Budget and Change Management, Purchase Requisition Process, Invoice Management.
  • Contract Management, Contract Compliance experience with the following: GC/EPC Agreements, Supplier Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, Offtake Agreements, Agreements/permits by city, county, state, federal, and other Governing Authorities.
  • Experience with Construction Administration / Project Coordination ; RFIs, Submittals, Drawing / Specifications, Quality/Defect/Punch List Management
  • Experience managing Owner-Furnished Equipment, preferably in the Renewable Energy / Power Generation construction sector including PV Modules, Transformers, Inverters/skids, batteries, turbines, and others.
  • Experience with Solar, ESS, Wind, and/or Substation/Switchyard projects preferred.
