23andMe is looking for a driven, self-directed Software Engineer to join our genetic pipelines and storage engineering team. We are responsible for designing, building, and managing large scale services at 23andMe that serve both external customers and internal consumers. We support backend services that are critical to a customer's experience on the website, build libraries in support of internal research, power machine learning and model development. We are passionate about building services that are performant, scalable, reliable, and secure. 23andMe has one of the largest databases of genetic data and the challenges we deal with and solve are unique. You will work within a collaborative environment of small fast-paced development teams that have a mix of veteran engineers and recent graduates. Pay Transparency
23andMe takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for a candidate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
