Mapbox powers navigation for people, packages, and vehicles everywhere.
Pros
Inspiring and brilliant colleagues, many from diverse career backgrounds. Very exciting products, innovations, and customers applying them. Excellent benefits and remote/flexible work options. It's never boring! There is always more to learn, ways to grow and challenge yourself, and the dynamism of the company keeps things always interesting and exciting. Healthy culture of debate and teamwork to solve problems together, that has matured significantly over recent years.Cons
Mapbox is a dynamic place - work plans, goals, priorities etc. often shift, and that can create some uncertainty. People who need to feel certain in what exactly they're going to be working on, and what success looks like, might get burned out by this. But if you can embrace the uncertainty for the opportunities that it brings to be creative and learn, this is invigorating. Mapbox is also not a very large company, and not all teams are as well-resourced as they would like to be. This means sometimes you have to be scrappy, or scope down a project, and keep ruthlessly prioritizing. There is pressure to do more with less, and deliver results efficiently. Again, some people will find that frustrating, others find it refreshing.Fast Company Best Workplaces for Innovators, Fast Company, 2022 GOOD DESIGN Award, Good Design Awards, 2022
