Visual Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Visual Designer to join our client's team on a contract-to-hire basis. As a Sr. Visual Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and engaging designs for various print materials, ensuring brand consistency and delivering high-quality products.Timing: Mid/late NovemberDuration: Ongoing contract-to-hireHours per week: 40+Location: Metro Detroit (onsite 3 days/week, Tues/Wed/Thurs)Type: Contract-HirePay rate: $38-45/hr | Salary: $80-90KResponsibilities:Develop visually appealing designs for print materials such as brochures, flyers, packaging, and promotional materials.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that align with the brand guidelines.Create compelling layouts by utilizing typography, imagery, color schemes, and other design elements.Conduct thorough research on industry trends and competitors' designs to stay up-to-date with the latest design techniques.Work closely with printers and vendors to ensure accurate production of printed materials.Provide guidance to junior designers in executing design projects effectively.Requirements:Proven experience as a Visual Designer or similar role in print design/print production.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent tools.Strong portfolio showcasing your skills in designing impactful print materials.Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, layout composition principles.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Please note that this position is contract-to-hire based with potential opportunities for full-time employment after successful completion of the contract period.
