2L Diversity Fellowship
Venable’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is, without question, one of the firm’s greatest strengths. Our mission is to deliver the highest-quality legal services in the most efficient manner, and we pride ourselves in identifying, recruiting, and retaining the best, brightest, and most capable attorneys and legal staff from all walks of life. We understand fully that only relevant actions lead to success, and that developing a work environment that values the worth and potential of every member is one of the most relevant actions in which we can engage as a law firm.
Venable is accepting applications for the 2L Diversity Fellowship Program in our Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Tysons and Washington, DC offices. This merit-based Diversity Fellowship will be awarded on a competitive basis. Recipients of the Fellowship will be awarded a $25,000 stipend in addition to a paid 2L summer associate position. Payment of the stipend will occur in two parts after the completion of the Summer Program and following the acceptance of an offer to join as a first-year associate.
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
Please submit a resume, law school transcript, and cover letter. In your cover letter, please address your interest in Venable, the importance of diversity in your own life, as well as your commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Applications to our 2L Diversity Fellowship Program will automatically be considered for our summer associate positions so there is no need to submit a separate application.
