The State of New Hampshire, Department of Administrative Services has several part-time vacancies for Building Cleaning Workers I/II. These positions are part time and are not to exceed 29.5 hours per week.

SCOPE OF WORK: To perform manual work in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of a court facility or state office building.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of eighth grade.

Experience: One year of experience in cleaning and maintenance activities.

License/Certification: Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or have access to transportation for statewide travel.

18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree

36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree

54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree


ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Scrubs, mops, waxes, and polishes floors, and dusts and polishes furniture.
Washes windows, woodwork, toilets, washrooms, and fixtures.
Moves furniture and equipment; delivers supplies; runs errands.
May be required to operate light vehicles on occasion, but must be properly licensed to do so.
Cuts grass, trims hedges, cleans walks, and assists in keeping outside premises in an orderly condition.
Performs snow removal, shovels sidewalks and entrances; applies ice melt as required.
Notifies superior when major breakdowns occur and require skilled trades workers to make repairs.
On occasion may accompany subcontractors who complete preventive maintenance on building equipment, to include assisting the contractor in setting up, coordinating, and arriving to the work location.
