As part of our Pilot Plant team, which sits within our R&D function, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of processing and packaging equipment and providing electrical trouble shooting support for R&D tests and production runs.

Maintenance Electrician

What your compensation will look like:

  • Pay starting at $28-35 (based on skillset and experience) per hour plus shift differential for off-shifts and potential for overtime. Additional $0.80 for working 2nd shift. Additional $1.00 for working 3rd shift. $2,000 sign on bonus.

What your day will look like:

  • Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading, world-class R&D facility
  • Working with HIGH-LEVEL Team Leaders on teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it
  • Lead with a SAFETY FIRST mindset to safely identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunityTroubleshoot, repair and improve process electrical equipment across several Pilot Plant and lab spaces

Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits including Variable Frequency Drives and Servo motor controlsTroubleshoot and calibrate process control instrumentation, including but not limited to pressure, flow, temperature, humidity, torque, current and voltage elements and transmittersComply with all OSHA required electrical safety training and practicesWhat your schedule will look like:

Your work hours are 3rd shift, 8 hours, 5 days a week.

3rd shift: 10pm-6am, (Sun Night) Monday through Friday morning (6am)

What you have to offer:

  • Either a two-year trade school certificate in an accredited electrical program or a minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Must have experience installing and maintaining process electrical components
  • Understand, practice, and promote electrical safety standards including NFPA 70E and NEC
  • Ability to apply root cause analysis to resolve systemic or reoccurring electrical problems
  • Read and interpret complex electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Ability to manage and adjust to multiple priorities in high activity production environments
  • Must be able to lift and manipulate 55 pounds
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and work occasional overtime including coverage on weekends
  • Effective communication skills with peers and with customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • State of Minnesota Masters, Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician License preferred
  • Basic knowledge and experience working with mechanical drive components, fasteners, and lubrication is desired
