We currently own and manage 450,000 SF of retail, office, industrial, and residential space in 6 different US markets. Currently, we are focused on the acquisition of long-term, NNN commercial assets, but also have land for build-to-suit opportunities as well as a few commercial redevelopment projects in the pipeline. While we are focused in the greater Nashville area, we underwrite deals in nearly all 48 contiguous US states. The opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to design and launch a new publication from the ground up. As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will work directly with site leadership, coordinating on-page and off-page SEO strategies to help us grow our audience for a newly launched digital publication for commercial real estate developers. You will be a leading voice on SEO for the entire site, leading discussions around the content organization and theming, page structure, and site optimization strategies. What you'll do • Coordinate and execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies with teams, putting the reader first and aligning with SEO best practices. • Work closely with editorial and business development teams to build topical authority. • Collaborate with site leaders to understand patterns, trends, and takeaways that can improve the overall website. • Contribute to the content calendar discussion and article ideation from the SEO perspective. • Assist in the auditing of content and ideate around strategy for topical authority. • Work with designers and developers to ensure website priorities and processes line up with business priorities and processes. • Contribute SEO best practices to all relevant conversations, representing SEO needs and the importance of SEO for building topical authority. • Closely monitor traffic and rank and be able to explain SEO performance to a wider group. • Conduct competitor research and analysis. • You provide technical SEO recommendations to improve the overall health of the website. • Maintain knowledge of Google algorithm changes and SEO industry news, and communicate about these with the team. Who you are • Minimum two years of experience in a technical SEO role (agency or in-house). • At least 1 year of experience handling SEO for a WordPress website. • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, SEO best practices, technical SEO, and other SEO disciplines. • Comprehensive understanding of core SEO tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics, as well as popular SEO tools for WordPress such as Yoast. • Strong understanding of web development languages, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and knowledge of server-side scripting languages (e.g. PHP and Python) and databases (e.g. MySQL). • Demonstrated skills in conducting comprehensive SEO audits to check a website's technical health, indexation status, internal linking structure, and more. Able to identify technical issues and improvement opportunities. • Competency in tracking and analyzing website performance metrics and KPIs, including organic traffic, page load times, and click-through rate. • Knowledge of techniques to improve website loading times, including image optimization and caching.
