Repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using test instruments, computers and hand toolsLead workers in servicing and repair of ABB & GE equipment. As required instruct customer in electrical theory and operation of ABB & GE Drives. Lead drive system commissioning projectsConsults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenanceAdvise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance and suggestions for product improvementsLearn ABB tools such as Drive Composer, Control Builder, GE Drive Tool Box, SAP, Concur, Outlook, Amex TravelQualifications for the role• Bachelor's Degree in engineering required and minimum 4 years of related work experience with AC and DC drive systems• A special combination of education and experience must be demonstrated in the AC drives area• Experience performing field service engineering for AC and DC coordinated drive systems and using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers, PDMA motor testing and CMC measurements• Work with ABB & GE drive and control equipment is a plus• Ability to analyze and test system hardware and software performance applicable OEM integrated machines• Must be available 24/7 based upon business necessity. Up to 70 percent travel required• Ability to write detailed technical field service reports• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment• Comply with ABB and customer safety requirements. Complete all designated safety training on time• Strive to build strong effective working relationships with our customers• Self Development by reading technical publications and participating in educational opportunities• Work with minimal supervision.
