This position serves as the subject matter expert for the Follicular Lymphoma team to optimize on-market and future launch indications. Lead strategic planning and development of key marketing pillars such as brand story, positioning, segmentation, creative development, and messaging. Spearhead all marketing initiatives from strategic development, with global and new product planning (upstream marketing) to full go-to-market strategy development including appropriate approval process for current and future FL indications.

This Headquarters position will report directly to the Head of Marketing, US Brand Lead, EPKINLY. This role will engage with appropriate cross functional areas of the Oncology IBTs (Integrated Brand Teams) in addition to the alliance governing bodies (i.e, J-IBT), with increased focus on engaging with the EPKINLY Commercial Triad, Market Access and MABI teams.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Head of Marketing and DLBCL Director to identify key focus areas and deliverables with implications to EPKINLY pre-and post-launch indications and adequate of appropriation across asset.
Responsible for developing and managing designated marketing strategy for a launch brand in the US oncology organization including brand and HCP strategy.
Work in a team-based environment assisting in the development of strategies and leading implementation of tactics to maximize sales, market share and profitability for new indications and/or molecules.
Lead, inspire and develop a team of Marketing Managers to become a high-performance brand team and oversight for field-based organization calling on practices
Lead development and execution of multiple marketing projects in a timely manner.
Responsible for working closely with medical affairs, market access, market research, sales, and HEOR to ensure execution of one vision for the brand commercially
Actively engaged in the development of the ongoing strategy including gap analysis, market research plan and strategic brand plan for DLBCL indication/s
Understand trends in the oncology marketplace using patient and data driven strategic insights to apply on an on-going basis to the marketing plan.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop product positioning and branding
Lead or support the development of the strategic business plan and the organization and synthesis of the tactical plan, including appropriate representation of all stakeholders.
Manage strategy and project development of tactics that drive consideration of preferred use of AbbVie oncology products within approved indications.
Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and tactics through measurement and metrics development to ensure positive return on investment and achievement of brand objectives.
Work with internal and external cross-functional groups (Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Project Management, Sales Training, Consumer Marketing, Market Analytics and Business Insights) and external (Ad Agency, Digital Agency) to ensure integration and consistency of professional business strategies and regulatory compliance of promotional materials.
Manages P&L responsibilities for FL related plan to preparation of and management of annual brand budget.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Relevant experience (minimum of 5 years; 10+ preferred) in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting with exposure to multiple areas of the industry (e.g., drug development and/or commercialization)
Strong strategic thinking, collaboration, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates strong cross functional influence and leading without authority
Must have positive attitude, strong written and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Experience working in a joint venture commercial partnership.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments to meet brand deliverables.
Preferred:
MBA and/or scientific background and/or Global experience.
Advanced degree preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA)
Must have the ability to effectively collaborate with, motivate and influence various levels/grades within the organization and outside of the organization.
Ability and willingness to respectfully challenge team members, functions and alliance partners, and manage conflict, in order to assess fully all opportunities, options, risks and mitigations.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
