The Access and Widening Participation Office leads on the development and implementation of UCL’s strategies to widen access to UCL from underrepresented groups. The Access Team is responsible for changing UCL’s intake of students from underrepresented groups.
The team works closely with faculties and departments to support local plans to close their access gaps. The team also works closely with the Data and Impact team - part of the wider Social Mobility and Student Success area - to provide evidence of impact and to identify current trends and research that will inform the development of activity. www.ucl.ac.uk/wp
The team delivers a programme of activities for Year 12 students and works closely with faculties and departments, supporting them to develop local WP action plans to close access gaps for underrepresented students.
The Access Assistant will be responsible for general clerical duties relating to a broad range of activities within the Access and Widening Participation Office. These duties will include responding to enquiries, data entry, assisting with logistics for outreach activity and events, providing information and advice to prospective students and working with current UCL students.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.

The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills including a working knowledge of MS Office applications and knowledge of using databases, good interpersonal skills and a commitment to high quality service delivery.
