Account Executive I

The Account Executive I is an entry-level professional role with some prior account management experience. The Account Executive I will have some understanding of retention concepts with prospects of limited scope and complexity with management oversight. The Account Executive I will develop, implement, and execute a retention strategy with guidance from the Director. The Account Executive I will be responsible for servicing and retaining existing clients with limited complexity. The Account Executive I will be responsible for developing and delivering presentations to brokers, existing clients, members, and other stakeholders educating them about products and programming with canned marketing materials provided. The Account Executive I will be responsible for consulting with mid-level stakeholders in the market to provide strategies and solutions from CDPHP. The Account Executive I will ultimately be delivering the CDPHP value proposition in the market. The Account Executive I will represent CDPHP by actively participating in community events and beginning to build relationships with key stakeholders in the market. The Account Executive I will provide feedback from the market to the Director. The Account Executive I will maintain market knowledge keeping current with industry trends and competitive insights based on materials and information provided by the Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • NYS Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required or secured after 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of two (2) year’s relevant experience
  • 2 years experience in health care, insurance or third-party administrator setting preferred
  • Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
  • 2 years experience working with external stakeholders required.
  • Consulting and negotiation skills required.
  • Entry level to sales to early career/position experience
  • Ability work with prospects of limited complexity while gaining exposure to prospects of more complexity
  • A positive mindset, active listening skills, confidence, and a relentless desire to succeed are a must.
  • Ability to work in partnership with Retention Leadership
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability at public speaking
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen and offer solutions
  • Desire to develop retention strategy for assigned territory with management guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to service and develop relationships with some guidance
  • Ability to translate health insurance language to stakeholders
  • Desire to negotiate solutions between CDPHP and appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ability to empathize, relate and offer a solution to objections.
  • Experience with CRM’s.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation. If driving a vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver’s license, current inspection and appropriate insurance


Annual salary range: 60,000 - 75,000


CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
