Ohio State University Athletics and LEARFIELD Ticket Solutions are seeking candidates for a summer internship in the ticket sales department located in Columbus, Ohio. The internship program is offered exclusively to student-athletes and will support full-time staff in maximizing revenue and creating fan experiences for the ticketed events.

Please do not apply if you are not a current student-athlete - we are unable to make exceptions for this position, and your application will be rejected.

This internship offers a flexible schedule and the Monday – Friday schedule will be customized based on each candidate's summer schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the ticket sales process
  • Make outbound calls to potential ticket package and group buyers
  • Maintain an organized profile of ticket holders and prospects
  • Research and generate group sales leads
  • Gain understanding of sales & marketing strategies
  • Assist in servicing group ticket holders and other clients
  • Assist the sales staff to help generate revenue
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at a minimum:

  • A strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to present themselves well to others
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • At least one year of advanced education working towards a degree
