Job Description:
Mazars is seeking high-performing students to join the Accounting & Advisory team in our Boston office. As an Intern in this practice you will be responsible for providing the highest levels of client service excellence while working with other professionals and interacting with valued clients.

Start Date: June 2023
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Junior or Senior working towards an Accounting degree
  • Commitment to work 25 hours per week (flexible schedules available)
  • Strong academic credentials (3.0 GPA)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is a plus
  • CPA eligibility upon Graduation
  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Strong organization, communication and analytical skills
  • Motivated and hard working in order to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
  • Able to operate in a paperless workplace and strong computer skills
  • Willingness to learn and be a team player
  • Knowledge of ProSystem FX or other accounting programs a plus
Professional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the maintenance of clients’ books and records via QuickBooks and Excel
  • Prepare tax returns (individual, partnership, corporate, payroll, sales and other)
  • Identify tax issues and undertake research to solve them
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel to obtain a better understanding of business operations, processes and functions
  • Stay informed in current economic development relevant to clients business and industry
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Mazars audit approach, methodology and tools
  • Review client accounting and operating procedures and systems of internal control;
  • Identify accounting issues under U.S Gaap and/or IFRS; perform research to solve issues
