For the builders and protectors, for the makers and explorers, for those shaping and reshaping our world through hard work and inspiration, Stanley Black & Decker provides the tools and innovative solutions people trust to get the job done—and we ...
Pros
Treats employees well. Good work environment and room for growth.Cons
I have no cons to share."Those who make the world need the creativity and vision of an inclusive and collaborative team. Because when you shut down the voice of one, you lose the power of all," Jim Loree, Chief Executive Officer.
Our focus on diversity, equity and inclusion is a cornerstone of what and who we stand for. There is no place in our company for anyone who does not demonstrate this leadership principle or live by this value.
We stand to do better and be better. We know that our team and each and every one of us can contribute to creating a better world for our colleagues, customers and communities. It will take our support, informed by our employees, customers and communities, to make a difference. We intend to listen, understand and take action to do better for historically underrepresented communities within Stanley Black & Decker.
Employees
To be engaged, you must feel included and valued. We strive to build and nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a reflex, not an initiative – where there is a deep sense of pride, passion and belonging that transcends any role, business unit, language or country. And where all employees feel valued, heard and positioned to do their best work every day. We know through experience that different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better results.
Communities
To support an inclusive environment where people are empowered to be who they are, we’ve supported the creation of nine employee resource groups (ERGs), with more than 75 chapters globally. They are formed around various dimensions of diversity but we encourage all employees to participate across groups. Our ERGs are engaged with executive sponsors, members, allies and external partners to ensure a deep sense of pride, passion and belonging in our culture, career development, community engagement and commercial innovation.
Customers
To be a force for good, you have to take a stand. In the face of incidents of stark racial injustice in the U.S., we made a public statement of solidarity with the Black community and all who want to see justice and human dignity prevail. This was intended to show our stakeholders, including customers, where Stanley Black & Decker stood on the issue. It reads as follows: "WE ARE FOR THOSE WHO DEMAND JUSTICE, TAKE A STAND FOR EQUALITY AND COMMIT TO INCLUSIVITY FOR ALL."
Suppliers
"Stanley Black and Decker is committed to integrating diversity and inclusion into all aspects of our business: our employees, our customers and supply chain. Developing strong relationships with a diverse supply chain will result in more innovative products, stronger communities and a better world. Supplier diversity is a critical part of economic inclusion and development for the communities where we live and work, and it fuels innovation for all of Stanley Black and Decker." -Guru Bandekar, Chief Procurement Officer
