POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

This is a part time temporary intern. It is designed to give the intern the opportunity to gain valuable business experience in an accounting/finance role. The intern will be able to assist as needed with opportunities to learn more in the realm of General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and or Treasury.

The term of the internship is through the summer with an expected end date of when the intern returns to college in the fall.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to GL team as needed
• Perform treasury functions such as ACH verifications
• Assist with Cash reconciliations
• Aid in Oracle testing for Fixed Assets and other systems
• Review and perform accounting procedure related to Credit Card Transactions
• Perform journal entries at the direction of General Ledger Accountant.
• Support month-end closing procedures by running financial reports.
• Provide support to Accounts Receivable team when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Oracle experience preferred
• Able to be highly confidential.
• Comfortable with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Able to work in a team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Some accounting, finance and or business course work completed
• Interest in pursuing a career in accounting, finance, or business.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending
• Able to hear and speak into a telephone
• Close visual work on a computer terminal
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Extensive daily usage of a computer or workstation
• This role is expected to be remote with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $18.50 - $23.10 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal ‘Wage and Hour’ requirements.
