We are now looking for our next Accounting Manager.

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a committed, experienced, and energetic individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This is a collaborative role accountable for the end-to-end financial reporting process as well as certain accounting operations (accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, etc.). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a change leader that challenges and continuously improves existing processes and procedures, and will be instrumental in positioning the accounting department to support the next phase of our growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own the month-end close process, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules; assist with quarterly board reporting 
• Manage monthly financial report creation and perform variance analyses to support financial statement accuracy and completeness
• Direct and oversee accounting operations team, including Payroll, Accounts Payable function (AP), Treasury Accounting (Wires, checks, ACHs) with a focus on internal controls, standardizing processes, close optimization and accuracy
• Assess, streamline, and improve operational accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Provide leadership to strengthen the accounting operations team with a commitment to recruiting, training and mentoring of staff
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, execute and document internal controls timely and accurately (using our internal tools), and collaborate to revise and enhance internal control policies and procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure support and information requests are provided timely for the annual financial audit
• Partner with the Controller in the implementation of new accounting standards, accounting for non-standard transactions, and/or implementation of new accounting systems
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting operations team, including team activities to ensure effective communication, collaboration with other areas of the organization (FP&A, Product, Engineering, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• A minimum of 5 years accounting experience; 2+ years in public accounting, CPA preferred
• Experience with NetSuite preferred; SOX compliance and/or FloQast experience a plus
• Direct experience performing detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
• Strong technical accounting skills and be current with regulations and compliance issues.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and shifting time requirements; must embrace team-work and foster an attitude of coaching, mentorship and collaboration
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
