Accounting Manager

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform and manage the monthly financial reporting close process to ensure that financial transactions are properly captured, complete, and accurately reported and compliant with US GAAP
• Manage, review, and provide recommendations to improve the day-to-day accounting function consisting of general ledger and accounts payable
• Review and analyze TB and monthly account reconciliations
• Assist in developing and implementing strengthened policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Provide technical accounting expertise in SAAS and healthcare revenue recognition topics under ASC 606 including variable consideration, multiple element arrangement considerations, timing of revenue recognition, gross versus net accounting treatment, and accounting for new products and features
• Provide technical accounting expertise in other accounting areas including AR reserve, share-based compensation, capitalized expenses, internal use-software, and estimates
• Work closely with Finance Operations, FP&A, and Pricing functions to streamline cross-function initiatives
• Lead implementations for new AP and T&E systems
• Administer and manage user support for GL, AP, and T&E ERPs
• Lead the internal process and external support for audits, reviews, tax returns, tax filings, state registrations etc.
• Ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications / Profile:

• Undergraduate bachelor’s degree, with record of strong academic performance in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics of other quantitative fields.
• 6+ years of prior Accounting experience in roles with increasing responsibility
• CPA and public accounting experience preferred
• Prior PBM / health care / SAAS experience preferred
• Strong system skills preferred such as ERP system roll-outs and/or scaling system implementations.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to challenge and improve existing processes through automation and redesign
• Leadership and coaching skills with experience managing and mentoring teams
• Ability to balance multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Base Salary: $110,000 - $130,000

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the NY - based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, knowledge, and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
