Accounting Support -Part Time

Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this role is to provide timely, reliable, and accurate accounting for Hope City. The accounting support will be responsible for ensuring incoming monetary donations are recorded and deposited accurately in addition to providing general reconciliation and reporting support.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• Some college preferred ideally in business or accounting
• 2 or more years of accounting experience needed
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with financial software ideally Sage Intacct
• Prior experience in Pushpay and ROCK is desired
• Ability to accurately count and record monetary items
• Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform weekly campus deposits including counting cash, scanning checks, entering data, and prepare deposit bag for bank pick up or drop off
• Receive, open, and process incoming mail
• Accurately code, process, and input contributions into donor management system
• Reconcile daily deposits between Pushpay and ROCK
• Monitor Giving and/or Finance email inbox and prepare responses in a timely manner
• Prepare journal entries for weekly online deposits when needed
• Remote Deposit incoming checks as needed
• Prepare donor gift letters as needed
• Support reconciliation process
• Create and provide financial reports upon request
• Saturday and Sunday availability is required
• Ability to work part-time in the office Monday – Thursday (flexible hours not to exceed 30 hours a week)
• Willingness to travel between campuses if needed
• Other duties as assigned
