Accounts Payable Supervisor

About the Role
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be a part of the accounting & finance team, reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager. The person in this role will have previous experience with managing an AP team and have SAP experience with inventory background.

You’ll Make a Difference By
  • Assisting hiring, training, motivating & evaluating Accounts Payable staff members.
  • Overseeing routine department activities to ensure completion & timeliness.
  • Maintaining accurate & complete financial, employee, and vendor records
  • Compiling, analyzing & reporting financial information to management & government agencies
  • Facilitating the achievement of department objectives
  • Reviewing, improving & enforcing policies & department controls to increase accuracy & efficiency.
  • Paying vendors in accordance with company policy & vendor terms.
  • Full cycle payment run, audit & completion to ensure accuracy of payments.
  • Maintaining exceptional relationships with vendors & company personnel.
  • Reviewing & posting accrual JE’s at month end for GL review
  • Goods receipt vs Invoice receipt reconciliation
  • Assisting with management & auditor requests.
  • Be cross functionally trained within department.
  • Lead AP close
  • Assisting leading team’s ad hoc reports & projects.
  • Reviewing & issuing 1099’’s annually
  • Assisting with bank reconciliation as needed.
  • Monthly AP reporting pack preparation
  • Freight carrier invoice & allocation review
  • Liaison with bank for troubleshooting payment issues/errors
  • Back up for AP daily tasks as needed.
  • Other Tasks as assigned.

About You
  • 5+ years of AP experience a must.
  • Previous experience with managing team of 3+ a must.
  • SAP Experience with inventory background
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • SME at problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with the ability to sort data and maintain spreadsheets with large data.
  • General ledger close and accounting experience a must have
  • Accrual & Prepaid experience a must have
  • Goods receipt vs Invoice receipt reconciliation a must have

The hourly range for this position is $39 - $42 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
