Your Impact

The Accounts Receivable clerk also known as the Days of Care (DOC) clerk is responsible for processing all county pass through payments for our DOC transactions including foster care, transition age youth and residential placements.


Your Skills and Duties

  • Prepare, review and process all monthly pass-through transactions for clients including both AR and AP sides of entries.
  • Obtain a clear understanding of all systems and processes related to Days of Care processes.
  • Make A/R adjustments when necessary, reflecting any changes in adjusted days of care.
  • Review and process county Notice of Actions (NOA) against client records.
  • Process county overpayment claims;
  • Endorse incoming checks and support remote check deposit when needed.
  • Support collections with outstanding A/R.
  • Represent self and Agency in a professional manner.
  • Maintain client and case confidentiality per licensing and Agency standards.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by AR Manager.

Education & Work Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience in A/P and/or A/R processing.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, A/P and A/R invoicing methods and aging processes.
  • Requires good math aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to deal with government accounting representatives in resolving collection issues.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in an environment of competing interests, prioritize work and maintain open communications with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community
  • Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record
