Accounts Receivable Manager - job 1 of 2

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our fast-paced North American finance organization. The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead a team in handling invoice to cash cycle from wholesale, direct, and online marketplace sales. An understanding of revenue recognition principals, as well as able to collaborate and communicate cross functionally with other teams will be vital to the success of this position. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 4 in handling the day-to-day accounts receivable functions, including customer billing, collection, and cash application.
• Monitor aging balance and assess collectability.
• Responsible for review and maintenance of customer database.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, coaching, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Mentor staff in researching and handling complicated receivable issues.
• Support Sales, Legal, Product, and Order Management during contract negotiation with suggestion and guidance on proper revenue booking and recognition considerations.
• Participate in quarterly and annual internal/external audits and JSOX reviews.
• Actively engage in control and process improvements to ensure compliance with Company’s revenue accounting policies.
• Research and document company’s position on non-standard revenue recognition issues.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• CPA is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience in software/SaaS industry.
• Prior experience with online marketplace providers is preferred, i.e., AWS, Azure, and Google.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to focus on achieving key results, including meeting reporting deadlines.
• Possess critical analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, problem solving, and managing competing priorities.
• Knowledge of deferred revenue and unbilled accounts receivable.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Capable of working independently and a strong team player.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in using Microsoft Dynamics Navision is desired.
• Advance proficiency with Excel is preferred.
• Exposure to IFRS/ J-GAAP / J-SOX is a plus.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
