Accounts Receivable Representative

Summary of Job Purpose:
- Ensures that all Accounts Receivable related transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares various month end journal entries and assists in month end closing procedures.
- Produces invoices and posts payments
- Works with Customer Service in collection process
- Performs miscellaneous general accounting related duties as assigned
- Prepares bank deposits
- Balances and reports cash for all accounts daily
- Tracks and verifies payment against invoices
- Reconciles and balances bank statements monthly
- Balances account receivable monthly
- Initiates and resolves past due collections with customers
- Reviews and distributes overdue receivable report to Controller
- Distributes new exchange rates at the beginning of each month
- Lead on scanning/verification of accounting documents
- Maintaining customer records/master data in multiple systems
- Understanding Accounts Receivable policies.

Job requirements
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of A/R experience
- Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within
- the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident
- (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- SAP experience; ERP implementation experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of ERP system- SAP experience is a plus.
- Microsoft: Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Thorough attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to prioritize work load in order of importance while being able to make decisions quickly on accounts and interact with customers
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments
- Works and communicates effectively at all organizational levels and across functional areas
- The employee maybe required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates.
Physical Requirements - Office:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
