The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides support in the healthcare insurance reimbursement process, prepares outstanding accounts reports and gathers credit and/or reference information. You will be responsible for completing insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner, and will follow up on claims to clients, commercial/government payers (like Medicare or Medi-Cal), and patients to optimize overall reimbursement. You will research denials and rejections, settle payer issues, document activity, post adjustments, and demonstrate proficiency within the billing system. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting on denial trends you identify that delay claims processing. This position requires a high level of customer service and communication with both healthcare patients and customers.

You may be hired as an Associate Accounts Receivable Specialist or an Accounts Receivable Specialist based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.
What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $19.00 to $22.00, hourly base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate; actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
