Account Manager - Retail Specialist

Accrue Savings is a consumer fintech company on a mission to help Americans save. We believe that rewards, points and incentives shouldn’t only come from paying with credit. We help smart brands and retailers incentivize shoppers with cash rewards when they save up for both big and ongoing, smaller purchases. Accrue Savings is backed by a fantastic set of VCs and angels, and has a large number of early retailer customers, led by an experienced founder and operator with a growing team. We’re looking for curious, self-starters, who are determined to drive an idea from inception to market.


Accrue Savings is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager who will serve as our Retail Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our on site retail partners, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively promote and sell our product offerings.


What you'll do
  • Training and Development: Travel to various retail locations nationwide to conduct product training sessions for store employees.
  • Educate retail staff on the features, benefits, and selling points of Accrue Savings products.
  • Customize training sessions based on retailer needs and product updates.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for designated retail locations, store managers and regional managers.
  • Build strong rapport with store managers and staff to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Address any product-related inquiries or issues raised by retail partners promptly and effectively.
  • Sales and Product Support: Collaborate with the sales team to implement strategies that drive product awareness and sales at retail locations.
  • Monitor product performance and sales metrics at each retail account to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the field to improve product positioning and marketing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, retailer interactions, and feedback received.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing training outcomes, retailer engagement levels, and sales performance.


What we'd love to see
  • Proven experience in account management or sales within the retail industry.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Ability to travel extensively as required (daily visits to various retail locations required).
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising practices is a plus.

$65,000 - $85,000 a year
The estimated pay range for this role, based in New York City, is $65,000 - 85,000 base (annual) +bonus.

The range listed is just one component of Accrue's total compensation package; other benefits include those listed above such as healthcare and 401k.
