Be part of a dynamic team that makes a difference in the lives of seniors. Covenant Living at The Samarkand is hiring an activity assistant. This position does group activities, one on one activities, and creates joy. Must be available on Sundays.

This is your chance to connect with seniors and explore your creative and nurturing side.

As our activity aide you will be able to explore activities, music, visitations, games and other ways to connect with seniors. This is a great job for someone who wants to make a difference!

Your job will include tasks such as:

• Assist, lead, and participate in activities as assigned in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Assist in the development of new activity programs, as well as reporting on resident satisfaction during activities.
• Maintain contact with room-bound patients in the Health Facility to provide for their special needs.
• Maintain and circulate reading materials, recorded tapes, and other materials for independent activities in the health facility when assigned.
• Maintain daily charting of participation of residents.
• Develop and produce materials and bulletin boards appropriate for promoting activities in all levels of care as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School education, preferred
• Ability to read and write English in order to maintain proper records, as well as, must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff, required.
• Artistic ability and creative talent.

Compensation Pay Range:

$16 - $18
