POSITION: Activities Coordinator Riverside Horizons

Multiple Part Time Positions Available at our Charleroi Location

Developmental Services provide individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability an opportunity to live as independently as possible through community-based residential living and therapeutic learning programs. Riverside Horizons is a therapeutic activity center for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities where they learn activities of daily living.

An Activities Coordinator implements both facility and community based therapeutic care, training and habilitation of adults with intellectual disabilities. In your role as an Activities Corrdinator, you will work as team, while facility-based, to provide care and pursue desired activities for individuals present at the facility. Coverage can very from 1:1 service ratio as well as 1:3 and 1:6 service ratios. You will be responsible for providing transportation, supervision and care within the community setting and assist with developing skills necessary to pursue integrated employment, participation in community activities, organizations as well as developing social networks.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to transport oneself daily to the facility in an insured vehicle.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday-9:00AM to 3:00PM.
• Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
• Must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and safe driving record.
• Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the PA State Police and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
• Subject to pre-employment and random or targeted drug testing.
• Ability to assist, move and/or transfer individuals, may be required.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow written and verbal instructions, as well as supervisory direction.
