CENTER FOR GLOBAL HEALTH (IN-CGLH-IUINA)
This position jointly supports the IU Center for Global Health Equity (IUCGHE) Research Program and the EA IeDEA NIH Grant. IUCGHE is a university-wide center with a purpose to develop and support mutually beneficial partnerships for the primary purpose of creating and implementing sustainable programs that improve health and human flourishing in underserved areas worldwide. The IUCGHE Research Program houses the US-based program office of the AMPATH Kenya Research Program, a 30-year old partnership with Moi University in Kenya, and IUCGHE leads the AMPATH Consortium, which represents over a dozen universities in the US, Canada and Europe. In 2021, IUCGHE is supporting “replication” of the AMPATH Kenya program with new partnerships in Ghana, México and Nepal.
EA IeDEA is an NIH funded grant in its 18th year with an annual budget in excess of $4 million focused on HIV/AIDS and related conditions. EA IeDEA represents a consortium of university and health system partners that use retrospective and prospective data collection to provide answers to the questions that clinicians, programs, and ministries of health consider fundamental to the evolution and sustainability of their long term HIV care and treatment strategies. Our grant collaborators are in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Europe and North America.
This is an exciting time for the IUCGHE and EA IeDEA. We are expanding opportunities, growing our impact and investing in outstanding new staff to support all that we will accomplish together. We are looking for an individual passionate about global health research with strong attention to detail, a good sense of humor, curiosity, flexibility as well as excellent administrative and project management skills to join our team as we take on these new and exciting challenges.
