Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Telework:

Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.
This position will also:
- Prepare and maintain departmental budgets
- Assist with Federal Work Study reimbursements to departments with student workers
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies and placing/expediting orders for supplies
- Facilitate maintenance of all physical aspects of office space
- Maintain confidential files
- Make travel arrangements for staff such as booking flights, cars and hotel reservations
- Support team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication
- Organize and schedule appointments and meetings
- Reconcile and submit expense reports
- Supervise a student intern
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of experience providing administrative support
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions; interact effectively with internal and external parties; plan, organize, prioritize and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions; exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail and mail
- Knowledge of appropriate software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Calendar.
Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Pay Range 09 (starting at $40,609) based on the University System of Maryland Pay Program
