Gettysburg College is seeking interested candidates to serve in either full-time or part-time Administrative Assistant roles in various departments across campus. These temporary, interim positions serve as backfill support during times of employee leave of absences. Our goal is to create a pool of interested individuals to call upon as needs arise across campus, now and into the future. Schedules, hours and duration of appointments will vary.
Generally, these positions will provide administrative, clerical and technical related services for the respective department. Responsibilities of these position may include, but are not limited to: providing courteous and efficient customer service at the front desk to office visitors; managing budgets and procurement for the department; managing calendars and arranging group meetings; scheduling meeting rooms; drafting routine and semi-routine correspondence; and planning and arranging travel.
Status: There are no benefits associated with these FT or PT, temporary positions.
Qualifications
A high school education or equivalent is required. General office experience and Microsoft Office skills required. The following demonstrated abilities are required: provide excellent customer service; handle confidential information in the appropriate manner; work with detailed information on a consistent basis; communicate verbally and in writing, work independently, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, and work harmoniously with a variety of individuals.
