ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, MIT CENTER FOR CONSTRUCTIVE COMMUNICATION (CCC), Media Lab, to handle complex administrative responsibilities, with an emphasis on projects/programs and events. Will provide overall administrative support for CCC projects, programs, and events; manage project logistics and provide administrative guidance and support, assist project leads with monitoring key milestones, manage timelines and due dates, and coordinate project team meetings; organize and implement project workshops; work closely with the other administrative assistants and the program manager to provide support for academic activities; handle general office duties as needed; collaborate on coordinating and facilitating communications (in-person, virtual, telephone, etc.) and meetings with collaborators, both domestic and international; and liaise with other MIT academic/administrative offices on behalf of CCC.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of administrative, office, or related experience; excellent organizational, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills; and excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort learning new software. Must be able to exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact; interact and collaborate effectively with a creative and diverse group of research staff, students, collaborators, corporate sponsors, administrators, and visitors; both exercise independent judgment and work within a team-oriented setting; anticipate needs; shift tasks quickly and successfully balance and prioritize workload in a demanding and fast-paced environment. PREFERRED: associate’s or bachelor's degree; and experience with MIT business apps, i.e., Microsoft Office, SAPgui, Concur, Google Workspace, and Dropbox. Job #22798-5
