ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, School of Medicine, Dean's Office

The Administrative Assistant performs a wide variety of professional, administrative, and support tasks for the Office of Finance and Grants Administration (OFGA) team and will directly support the Department Administrators that work within OFGA. This position includes the organization, planning, and communication with multiple departments within the medical campus and with the BU central offices. The main responsibilities includes, but are not limited to: placing orders and processing invoices, working with ISSO and preparing all required documents for visa applications, making travel arrangements for OFGA staff members, requesting ISRs and FSRs. The position is also responsible for IT service request, check deposits, petty cash, honorariums and other tasks as assigned by the direct manager and the Director of OFGA. Experience with maintaining and updating websites is a plus.


Required Skills
  • Associate's degree and 1-3 years of related experience is required Bachelor's preferred
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management and organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
