The USC Keck School of Medicine – Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease through innovative clinical trials.

ATRI is looking for an Administrative Assistant that will provide administrative support to senior management and faculty at the ATRI. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Edit and finalize presentation slides
  • Update and maintain faculty Curriculum Vitae’s (CV’s) and biosketches
  • Scheduling and maintaining meetings
  • Process and manage travel reimbursements for faculty
  • Maintain and up-date administrative databases, compile data, and create reports
  • Prepare technical material such as manuscripts, abstracts, and reviews for scientific journals, scientific presentations at lectures and at national meetings under the guidance of the faculty
  • Compile graphs, tables and other scientific data using computers for slides, charts, manuscripts and grants

The Administrative Assistant will be required to independently analyze, organize, and prioritize daily support activities as well as review, evaluate and rank all requests and communications to Sr. Management. Using tact, organizational skills, flexibility, and discretion, participate in special projects as assigned by their supervisor and ensure the efficient and effective execution of all assigned tasks and projects.

The hourly rate range for this position is $24.48 - $32.17. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
