Job Description Summary:
Assistant to an administrator (director or above), including scheduling and sending correspondence on behalf of the administrator and/or department. Prepares project and grant budgets for use in planning, policy making and program evaluation. Compiles information, prepares reports and is involved in implementing departmental policies.

Required Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.

Work Experience:
Two (2) years of office experience.

Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's Degree.

Work Experience:
Experience working with students, visitors and employees.

Experience with Adobe Products.

Three (3) years of administrative experience in a university or office setting.

Knowledge of FERPA and HIPPA regulations.

Experience using Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Skills:
Time Management and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem solving skills.

Job Duties Outlined:
Assists the Kansas Center for Rural Health (KCRH) leadership team with necessary clerical functions.

Serves as the receptionist for the KCRH, including answering KCHR phone calls and directing them to the appropriate party.

Maintain a database of memberships.

Coordinate schedules, meetings and help with day-to-day operations.

Assists the KCRH leadership team with all correspondence, travel, purchasing, and personal schedules.

Works with the KU School of Medicine -Salina, KUMC Dept. of Population Health, KU School of Nursing-Salina, and others across the Health Education Center in the coordination of event planning and special events.

Assists in the marketing of KCRH - through print, web-based, and/or social media.

Handles all mail, packages, and incoming documents - routing to the appropriate individual.

Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
