JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Provide administrative support for the Robotics Engineering Department Head, Operations Manager, and faculty. Serve as primary point-of-contact for undergraduate students in the department and all matters regarding the undergraduate program. Responsible for facilitating admissions, open houses, arranging new undergraduate student orientation events, and organizing project presentation day. Prepare and maintain a wide range of documents regarding undergraduate students and information about the undergraduate program on Canvas and websites. Assists department Operations Manager as needed. Assists with the management and operation of the undergraduate program. Assists with the organization and logistics of program conferences, seminars, and events. Supports the department as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Supports the Robotics Engineering Department with record-keeping, document preparation, and other tasks as needed.
  • Provides support to the Department Head for all board and faculty meetings. Gathers material, input, schedules, and other items as needed to support department publications and operations.
  • Provides creative input to, and the management and maintenance of, undergraduate program and course websites.
  • Assists faculty with travel and schedule planning and purchases. Assists with all aspects of undergraduate program operations and clerical work, adapting as needed to support the department and students.
  • Manages conferences, seminars, and events for the undergraduate program in Robotics Engineering.
  • Provides record keeping, tracking, advising, scheduling, and support of BS students and BS/MS students. Processes payroll forms for SAs/PLAs/Graders and paperwork; monitors paid student employee time sheets as needed.
  • Coordinates undergraduate student admission process, orientation events, and project kick-off meet-and-greet.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of office or administrative experience. B.A. or B.S. in business management, accounting, or personnel management preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access), World-Wide Web content management systems, and other office productivity tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-motivation and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities.
