Anticipated Hiring Salary: $19.23/hr or $40,000/yr plus benefits

The Rollins College of Business is an AACSB accredited business school with an outstanding reputation of educating students and engaging with the Chattanooga community. Faculty and staff support a variety of undergraduate and graduate students in a collegial work environment.

The Administrative Associate will provide support for two departments in the college including the department heads, faculty, staff, and students. The position is often the first point of contact for visitors and community professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Administrative Associate reports directly to the department heads they support. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing front desk operations including maintaining office supply inventory
  • Providing support to faculty, staff, and students (including student organizations)
  • Supporting centers and institutes that are part of the assigned department
  • Assisting the department head and others with planning and organizing events
  • Entering and maintaining course schedules
  • Supervising student workers
  • Maintaining departmental records and ledgers per university policies
  • Assisting faculty with travel documentation and reimbursement
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the department head

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
  • Computer software/technology skills (especially, Microsoft Office) and willingness to learn new software programs
  • Organization skills and ability to plan events
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in an office or professional environment.

Preferred Qualification: Two or more years of experience in an office or professional environment
